Question about 1999 Dodge Ram
Will take off in 2nd only when shifter is put in first. no kick down,adjusted kick down cable to no avail.governor problem was suggested.
Usually the kick down is used in the top gears to come out of overdrive, out of 4th and into 3rd. It is what you would use for passing or increasing RPM when pulling a load to gain speed. Since a governor was mentioned you are talking about an automatic aren't you or the governor for a throttle?
