Hi,
The problem could be on Fuel Stop solenoid or the or the valve clearence gap on the fuel pump.

Try to Crack the Fuel Injector Tube Union and crank the Engine and see wheather has Fuel spray out(Becareful because it is at HIGH PRESSURE),if there is no fuel try to check the Fuel Stop Solenoid for Malfunction,if it malfunction it dosn't allow Fuel to Go into High Pressure Side of the Fuel Injection Pump hence no fuel supplied to the Injector!

If it malfunction you can remove it and Remove the Plunger from it then Screw in the Body to the Injection Pump, cover up the Wire with insualation Tape and keep out of moving parts!Remember when unscrewing the Solenoid press the Priming pump on the top of filter to washed and debris!DO NOT FALL ANYTHING TO THE HOLE OF THE SOLENOID or you may ended up in Replacement of an Expensive Injection Pump!

Thanks

How Do I change fuel and air filters on a 2002 Kia Sedona LX

Air filter, hust unclip the metal clips around the housing.
Fuel filter, undo the bolt at the top, unclip the plastic pipes either side of the filter.
Prefill the new filter with fresh clean diesel, bolt in place then pump the black knob on top of the filter to prime. If the car will not start, release the plastic pipe nearest the front of the filter and pump until fuel comes out, then refit it.

Filter Replacement most vehicles

This is a tip for most vehicles so don't take notice of the BMW listing....this program made me choose...!
  • Whenever replacing any oil filter for any vehicle, check to make sure it fit's correctly.
  • Don't tighten at this stage
  • Once done, remove it and fill the filter with the same type of oil that's going into the engine....this will take a few minutes as the oil will take a little time to filter through the material inside the filter.
  • Once the level inside is almost to the top...(don't worry if it's a little over filled), wipe a little of the oil onto the rubber gasket seal and fit it, tightening following the instructioons on the filter.....
  • Clean off any spillage with a cloth.
  • This meathod reduce the time of low oil pressure in the oil galleries and reduce engine wear and concequently, saves you money in the long run....
  • The same meathod should be used when fitting a diesel fuel filter....It will reduce much of the pumping required for priming (bleeding) the filter. It will also reduce wear in the injector pump....(The injector pump is lubricated by the same fuel)....
  • If you have a problem priming the fuel line, and you have a vehicle with a priming plunger on top of the filter housing, remove the whole unit with the filter in place.
  • Loosen and remove the fixing nuts (usually two)
  • Lift the assembled unit and then lower it as much as possible leaving all pipes connected....
  • Holding the whole unit upside down or at an angle where the fuel will cover the valves inside, (about forty five degrees) ....pump the plunger on top....It will pressurise much more quickly....
Happy servicing

Toyota commuter bus diesal fuelfilter

Hi Mervyn, The easiest way of replacing the fuel filter is to disconnect the intake and outlets pipes and remove the retaining nuts from the housing. Remove the unit from the vehicle and hold the pump housing not too tightly in a vice and unscrew the old filter and the sediment sender unit from its base. Screw in the sediment unit and fill the filter with clean fuel. Dip your finger into the fuel and wipe a smear around the rubber seal and the holding the housing upright, screw it together, refit to the vehicle and prime by pushing on the plunger until the action becomes hard. Start the engine and if required, bleed each injector by opening the 17 mm joint onto each injector until fuel is released during idle. Retighten each after about five seconds and any misfire due to air should be dispelled and once all have been bled idle should be smooth. Regards John

Isuzu kb 280 dt got a fuel starvation problem after it stands for a few days, when i pump the prime pump on top of fuel filter the problem is gon.

It could either be a fuel pipe between your prime pump and injector pump that sucks air so your diesel flows back into your fuel tank. Or you need to replace the prime pump. There is a rubber diaphragm in the prime pump that gets worn. Unfortunately need to buy a new prime pump. A simple sollution is to fit a non return valve to your fuel line. That need to be connected between the prime pump and fuel tank. Hope it helps. Blessings

4D56 After engine is hot it won't start without

Check your fuel tank, fuel pipe and hoses might have a leaky somewhere.. else your injection pump has a leaky internal high presure pump.

Changed the oil and fuel filters in 06 duramax and truck won't start

IS THE ENGINE TURNING OVER? IF IT IS YOU MAY HAVE TO BLEED AIR FROM THE FUEL SYSTEM, IF THERE IS A MANUAL PRIMING PUMP, USALY BUILT AS PART OF THE FILTER HOUSING OR REMOTELY MOUNTED ON THE FUEL SYSTEM PUMP THE PLUNGER THILL IT GETS HARD THERE SHOULD BE A BLEED SCREW MOUNTED OPEN IT AND STROKE PLUNGER UNTIL YOU SEE BUBBLE FREE FUEL COMING THROUGH CLOSE OFF THE BLEED SCREW AND PUMP PLUNGER TILL HARD AGAIN THEN TRY STARTING

2003 Chevy Duramax 2500 HD with a vapor lock when temp is moderately hot; will not start without using prime pump on top of fuel filter housing - sometimes with low fuel level will not re-start even with...

Most likly the filter housing needs to be replaced and or the fule lines to and rom the housing. the housing has the plunger on top and the filter screwed under. The plunger goes bad on these and causes air to enter and then become air locked. this is also very comon on the IPR with the fuel filter housing mounted behind cab on frame rail driver side. road sault gets to these and degrades the unit untill it sucks air. On the c 4500 you need to get the oem fuel lines because of the tight space restrictions to route the lines. the OEM lines are molded to make the tight bends required.

Hope this helps... Good luck

2003 Duramax Diesel loosing prime and will not start until I lift the hood and pump the prime plunger on the fuel filter housing.

duramax diesel trucks do not have a lift pump. start with the simple things make sure your fuel filter is tight and check the shreader vlave on the fuel rail if that don't help check the filter housing for a leaks arround the heater element or a crack in the housing itself
