Question about 2000 Honda Accord

Stereo no power

The stereo worked fine before I plugged in the cell phone to charge, blew the fuse, replaced the fuse, but the stereo still didn't work, checked voltage/zero volts, I pluggged the cell phone into the cig lighter, which actually reads power source, and 12 volts/10amp., I was thinking, is there a fuse behind this cig lighter, inside the console?

You blew the CIG,RADIO or ACC fuse in the fuse panel, remove and replace with same rated fuse. There is a grounding issue inside the lighter housing from this

Your amp as nothing to do with your car runnig bad. Your engine has a problem. It's miss fireing may be do to bad coil or even spark plugs or spark wires

The Instrument panel lights no longer work. When I started it at night it was fine for a minute. When I plugged in my cell phone charger in the AUX lighter spot, there was a noise and the instrument panel...

Sounds to me like your cell charger is shorted so the fuse that sends power to the lighter socket blew and the dash lights are on the same circuit. Check all the fuses to make sure the tiny piece of wire between the two contacts is still intact and replace any bad ones with the SAME SIZE and AMP RATING fuse. Then, hope for the best and throw away the cell phone charger if all is well in the car.

RAV4 Charging Cell Phone Causes Fuse to Blow

have never heard of a vehicle that can't be used to charge a cell phone but if that's what the dealer said, they usually know something about the vehicles they sell. i can suggest a work around but it might be you won't like it. you can buy a 12v jumper pack, it's really just a battery in a plastic case that can be used to jump your regular 12v car battery in the event that you can't get the car started from the regular battery under the hood. they are available in a few different sizes, they have them at car parts stores and dept. stores, you plug it in at home and it charges up overnight, then take it in the car with you just in case. every one of these that i have ever seen has a 12v outlet on them. some of these are quite heavy but you don't need a big one and you probably won't need to charge it more than once or twice a week just running a cell phone charger off it. i will admit that it is not as convenient as plugging it into your car but it won't blow a fuse and i'm pretty sure it would work. hope that helps
