My 98 chevy blazer just got a new fuel pump and filter. Wont start even with starter fluid into the throttle body. Any ideas?

If it's a gasoline engine, please check for sparks at the spark plug end. If it's a diesel, check pre-heating system. Starter fluid in the throttle body must be ignited by the spark plugs. For diesel, pre-heating is necessary to ignite the fuel.

My 2002 chevy blazer turns over but wont start I've changed the fuel filter so far but would like to find some answers before spending hundreds of dollarswithout knowing if I'm going in the right direction

Check for spark on any cylinder, by pulling the plug wire and installing a clean, spare plug in the wire--lay the plug body on the engine metal. Have someone turn the starter while watching the plug. Regular blue sparks show the ignition is ok along with the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. If no sparks, suspect either of the position sensors. At this point, rent a scanner, read any code(s), and pursue to repair(s). If you have fuel problems, that should show on the scan. Swapping parts is not a realistic way to troubleshoot problems.

No power, overheating

Hello and this is a blown head gasket from what it sounds like. I would check your oil and if it looks grey or milky you definetly have a blown head gasket. You can check for a system leak with a compression system tool from your local auto parts store but make sure to check your systems max pressure before installing the tool. I am read sure this is a head gasket. If you have any other questions email me and I hope you have good luck in fixing this problem.
