This alarm goes off and cannot get it to shut off unless i unhook the positive cable of the battery. I am at wits end here i am going to altogether remove this system from my vehicle.
How do i disable the honking noise aside from taking off the positive battery cable
Re: this alarm goes off and cannot get it to shut off...
Your alarm has a fuse or fallow the posative wire from the modulator the red wire and disconect that from the battery. option 2 call the alarm manufacture

Usually this is because the battery is still too low. I would try a new battery. You may have a bad cell. Try that first. or use a jumper cable from a known good car. to make it easier you might want to unhook the horn wire while you try it all.
If you do not have the remote control for the alarm (which can sometimes be purchased on ebay) You will have to uninstall the alarm.
The alarm is wired between the ignition coil wire coming from the ignition switch if the car is turning over and just wont start.
This can be complicated because of the amount of wiring, You have to cut the alarm wires out 1 at a time and match the cars wires back together.
I just did this for someone on a toyota recently and you really have to pay attention or put a peice of tape on each wire writing the color for example(white wire with rd stripe or white wire with red stripe ect.)
I hope this helps you,

It's going to have to be looked at. But you can try unlocking a different door with the key. Hold it to the left (unlock position) for 2 or three seconds. Should shut off the alarm and allow you to start it.
When alarm goes off,put key in ignition and turn, the alarm should go off and alarm should be reset.Or,remove positive battery cable, wait 10 minutes, reconnect, when you open door, alarm will sound, insert key in ignition and turn key and alarm should go off and alarm should be reset.
Try shutting you door with you in it, lock it and then puch unlock it then you alarm should be reset. If you would like to find your code for your key less code let me know. or change you code,
