Question about 2004 Suzuki Verona
I lost power while accelerating while passing another car. The check engine light came on. It is a 2004 Suzuki Verona. Can I reset the light myself or do I need to go to a service department? The car seems to run fun but the light remains on.
You can disconnect the negative cable of the battery for a couple of minutes (but you will lose radio settings and possibly others that the car will relearn), or you can go to an auto parts store such as Advance Auto or Pep Boys and they have a free scanner service to diagnose problems that should be able to reset the light. Mine does.

This light is a nightmare i know. The problem is behind me since a couple of years. Use 91 octane gas. Take a ride on the highway 100-110 kmh at least one hour. Be sure that your cap of gas is closed thight. Since i do this, i had never seen that light ON. Do not use regular gas (if you use) with that great engine. Verona is a fantastic car. I must say that i owned that car brand new in 2004 and the mileage is just 37 000 !! (yes, we are 2013) Envery night in my garage. No rust, no scratch, windshield and plastic beam lights are clear as new!
