Question about 1994 Toyota Pickup
I have a 91 toyota pickup (22re. It needed to be smogged. Before I took it it it ran fine. All I did was tape the muffler (temporary) with muffler tape as it was leaking. The test aborted and the mechanic said it was misfiring. When I drove it home it was. I removed the plugs and found to burned or corroded. So, I replaced them. They were not oem (they were duo gap type). Now after driving a block or two the engine stalls during idle (stops). I thought the plugs wires were wrong, but autozone said order was 1 3 4 2 clock wise
May have a plugged catalitic conveter or muffler. So do you know which plug is #1? the very front one also make sure that you start with the number one plug slot it shold be marked with 1 then go around it, you may have damaged the plug wires when pulling them off. And Buy OEM for your toyota there are plugs that just won't run in the toyota engines also set the gap on the plugs they are never right from the store.
