A mechanic would check oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to verify the problem is the sensor or actual low oil pressure.

SOURCE: The oil pressure gauge keeps dropping down to 0 while i am driving

If you don't hear any ticking or knocking while the pressure gauge drops, the problem is probably a failing "oil pressure sensor". If you do hear a ticking or knocking, the problem is probably a failing "oil pump".

SOURCE: oil gauge keeps coming on, loss in oil pressure

your oil pump may be starting to fail on you. once it's gone you will have no oil pressure at all and you run the risk of overheating the engine. monitor your guages closely.

2004 mercury mountaineer slight winning noise when coming to a stop and oil gauge slightly high ?

Sounds like a bearing starting to go somewhere in the driveline; assuming the differential and transfer case are full. As to the oil pressure; If you have the correct weight of oil in the engine and it has been changed on schedule; the higher the better.

Digital readout says overheated and low oil pressure and oil gauge drops and temp gauge drops also

It might be a problem with the amount of your engine oil. Check the oil gauge. If it is below the ideal mark, add some. If it still continues, maybe you need to change your oil because its already sticky as it is usually the cause of overheating engines. Also check the water for your radiator..if its normal, then the radiator may be the problem and needs to be replaced. Also check for water leaks coming from the radiator..

My 2001 Mercury Mountaineer keeps flashing check gage when I start it. What does that mean?

it wants you to check the oil level & coolant level. One is low or you have low oil pressure.

The check gauge light came on and I saw the oil light kept switching for low to medium then the truck stop. What is my problem?

I would check the oil level before attempting to start it again. If that is good, suspect bad oil pressure sending unit.
