Been tested by dealer twice....they say all sensors are normal and when they reset the "computer" the light diasppears for a week then comes back. They say a new computer at 750 and 250 labor would be necessary since they do not know why this is coming on.

Try and get an engine diagnostic from Autozone or Advanced Auto. They'll give you a printout of what, if any, problems it has. Vacuum leaks and so forth

I have a 2004 Chrysler Concorde LXI 2.7 Eng. Got Check Engine light twice with PO344 code (Cam Shaft). Dealer could not find problem and reset computer twice. Now I am getting error codes PO700 and...

check flexplate,i had a vehicle w/ 2.7 that would throw similar codes(cyl miss code that would change to"cam counter" then weird tranny codes and back)changed cntroll box on trans, coils, cam sensor .ended up being a cracked flexplate that shifted enough it was screwing with crankshaft sensor.the sbec(brain box) was going nuts trying to figure out why cam/crank signals didnt jive so it was basically"guessing" why.its a mechanical failure causing good sensors to read bad,if the codes come back or throw diffrent ones after reset look at non computer causes, dealer should know better.

The Check Engine Light won't go off. I've had it checked twice, and have been told that there is no problem. How concerned shoudld I be? Concerned in D.C.

I suspect that your check engine light is a failure of the air/fuel sensor found in the exhaust system. This sensor checks the fuel to air ratio and sends a signal to your computer to adjust the amount of fuel sent to the injectors. This sensor sticks into the heat of your exhaust and often fails and has to be replaced. Your dealer and some repair shops know how to turn this light off by accessing your computer with an OBDI or OBDII reader. If they exstinguish this Check Engine Light and it comes back on which is usual, then the sensor has to be replace. See:

My check engine light blinks once, pause, twice,

If it's like some vehicles, each set of flashes of the check engine light represents a "code". So, the code your vehicle is giving you is 12345. You may check with a dealers service department or you may even be able to Google the code and you should be able to figure out what the problem is. Normally with your check engine light, it's more than likely an emission problem such as an oxygen sensor, loose gas cap, etc.

Hyundai Sonata GLS V6 sensor reset problem 2004:

Certain conditions must be met for the monitors to set on obd systems. If you can't get a test to run and set, find out via scanner which monitors are not set. The manufacturer may have a list of conditions required. For example a certain test may require two drive cycles, or driving the engine to normal operating temp twice. Now imagine if a temp sensor isn't functioning correctly. That test may never run.

Service engine soon light

Obviously there is an error. Ask the dealer what the code is indicating.

Ask the dealer if they can do an engine vacuum test and also test all the sensors.

These types of faults can take a lot of time to locate be very difficult to work out.
