Question about 2007 Volkswagen Golf
We need to learn how we can connect to the alternator to have a continuous supply of current from the alternator while the engine is running? How do we bypass the regulator? In other words, we need two sources of power from the alternator, one to provide continuous power, two, power to the battery which will stil cut out when the battery is full. Can you help please? Martin Steyn i have a 2007 VW Citi Golf, the power to the whole car cuts off while i'm driving and the whole car swithes off. i've changed the battery and my fuses but the problems isn't resolved HELP!
I had the same problem on My CitiGolf!
Make sure to Disconnect anything from your 12 V power outlet before u leave your car. this is because unlike other Models, a CitiGolf's 12V power outlet will continue supplying power regardless of whether your key is in or out and that kills our battery.
p.s. by a 12V outlet, I mean that outlet where one usually connect a cigarette lighter - :)
