Question about 1989 BMW 3 Series

Open Question

I need the belt routing for a 1989 bmw 325i.

My brother has a problem identifying the routing of the 2 belts on his 89 bmw 325i. He said that his Chilton book show a serpentine belt and his car does not have that.

SOURCE: need serpentine belt diagram for 1994 bmw 325i

Below are diagrams for both the M44 and the M50 engines. On the M44, you may need to hold the tensioner in the retracted position with a drill bit or hex tool through the hole in the front of the tensioner. The belt tensioner is automatic so no tightening is necessary. Best of luck!

Looking for a diagram for serpentine belt placement for 1989 chevy corsica 2.0 liter

Above the photo are 2 PDF documents. The first - Routing Guide gives you the diagram code for the car and engine. See page 30 for the 89 CHEV Corsica 2 liter.
There are 2 belts - one for the air conditioned equipped engine (diagram 6-3) and one without the aircon (diagram 5.3).

Next go to the second document - Illustration guide PDF document - for those 2 belt diagrams.

Can you tell me how to remove the serpentine belt on a 2002 bmw 325i?

Make sure you take note of how it is installed, as it can sometimes be difficult to work out where it should go.

You need to release the pressure on the belt, by adjusting the tensioner.

You should find a diagram somewhere in the engine bay, that shows how the belt is routed. The tensioner is normally indicated on this diagram.

I think on your car, the tensioner pulley has a hex bolt on it, which can be loosened, to move the pulley. The tensioner pulley applies pressure to the outside (smooth) side of the belt.
