Question about 2005 Jeep Liberty
Ok, about a month ago my button for my alarm would not shut the alarm off. It is an after market car alarm and I couldn't start the car with it continuing to go off so I removed the alarm (as best as I could) took all the peices out that went to the alarm and taped the wires back up in the dash and put it all back together. A few weeks later, my guages started flashing like crazy, and the battery died. Then...it just started working again. It comes and goes. I think maybe the wires are touching something or they are not grounded out. Not sure what to do. Any advice???
Check your wires!, it is better to use **** connectors or resolder them and heat shrink, but **** connectors will do, as for the flashing of the guages it sounds to me that maybe your alternator may be giving intermittent charge, this is caused from cracking insulation inside the alternator and creating a direct short, not likely but ive seen wierder stuff. in jeeps they have very good oem alternators but sometimes you get that one that was built on a monday or friday
