Question about 1996 Volkswagen Golf
Just come of moterway parked for 20 minutes didnt start so towed it home and started on tow but clicking behind dash and rev counter was up and down I drove to a friends house no problem, when leaving about 5 hrs later it would not turn over. AA came out got it started by putting a battery pack on it, said it was probs the glow plugs. I drove it home, it was loosing power every now and then but not much else. I drove about a 100 mile trip, got back and parked it on the drive. It has not started since. I have changed the glow plugs and fuel filter. It turns over but just wont fire, and even easy start wont help! Does anyone have any ideas?
Sounds like you have a bad glow plug relay that could cause a power spike and drain your battery,it could also take away power to the fuel pump causing the loss of power.Hope this helps you out some!!
