Transmisson slips changeing gears and revees up real high

Hi, You have a bad CLUTCH plate that needs to be replaced.
Or a bad tork converter. In any case you have to take the tranny out to inspect.

Ford festiva clutch cable adjustment

There are probably Manufacturers specs for this. But you want a little free play at the top to insure the pressure plate bearing is not loaded.
An inch of play before resistance is felt should be good enough. When the clutch wears in later, you may need to adjust the cable to get the pedal higher off the floorboard.

I'm hearing some knocking sound in the gear box for my ford festiva 1991, some one told me it's the choke bearing but I'm googling that name but seems there is nothing by that name. Can so

Standard Shift trans it is a Clutch Throw Out
bearing that releases the clutch

When they go you resurface the flywheel & install a new
clutch & pressure plate, your worn bearing & slave hydraulic

Replaced master cylinder in clutch in an attempt to stop the car sticking in gear and moving when foot taken of brake. It still moves while the clutch is still depressed and needs brake to stop...

Sounds like a worn-out clutch plate or broken/damaged throw-out bearing or pressure plate. You need to replace the clutch - including the pressure plate, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, and I also recommend a new slave cylinder. (Especially since you have allready replaced the master cylinder.) You may want to weigh the pros and cons of having your flywheel machined or just replacing it with a "Remanufactured " flywheel.

Do you know how to replace a clutch on a 91 chevy s10... i have the parts and dont know where to begin

well spray the connection for the slave cylinder with some WD40 so you can get it apart .
and then you will need to have the truck racked up or need it on jack stands so you can work under it. Good set of hand tools with metric and stander sockets air tools would be a big help and long with a pry bar
1. mark and remove the drive shaft. ( marked in the rear by the ujoint )
2. remove the bolt from the trans mount
3 support the trans and remove the transmisson cross member
4 remove the slave cylinder line
5 remove the bolts for the support bars on the bottome of the trans (move braces out of the way or take them all the way off
6. remove all bolts from any wiring harness that may be attached to the transmisson
7. remove bolts (6) from transmission bell housing while supporting the transmisson . after doing so you may need to pry and wiggle the transmisson losse from the set pins on the engine . remove transmisson and set to the side .
8. remove the bolts holding the presure plate to the flywheel . this will remove the disc also . now you have a choice to make . remove the fly wheel and have it resurfaced or replace it or leave it alone . if it has burn makes (blue discolored areas) replace or resuface . ( it is held on by 5-6 bolts) also i would replace the throw out bearing and slave cylinder at this time in the transmission
9. install new presure plate and disc .( need alignment tool should be in your clutch kit )
10 follow these steps in reverse order to install transmisson . note you will need the toqure specs for the flywheel bolts and the clutch presure plate bolts
11.once you have it all back together you will need to bleed the slave cylinder . witch is a lot like bleeding brakes
MY BEST SUGGESTION IS TO GET A SERVICE MANUL AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS STORE FOR DOING THIS THEY ARE CHEAP .. 25 BUCKS OR LESS ..AND WORTH WHILE
as do this for a living and have manuls i may have forgotten some steps in doing this job but i hope this helps you out

How to remove clutch on 92 festiva and replace new one?

firstly are you very mechanically minded? if not dont attempt this as its not easy and will require special tools... such as the tool to line the clutch exactly in line with where the gearbox shaft goes into the motor.... if you are going to do it you need to search around the outside of the gearbox and undo all the bolots that hold it to the motor... once every bolt holding it on is removed you will need to pull or push it away from the motor so it can drop down ( the car will need to be on blocks or a hoist.... once gearbox is off you will need to remove the clutch and pressure plate .... i would recommend if you are replacing clutch to possibly do pressure plate also... once these are removed you will need to fi the new one.... this is where you need the alignment tool... without it you will more then likely not get it in the right spot.. once it is placed onto the motor you can think about putting the gearbox back in... same process as removing only in reverse.... hope this helps... i will once again mention you will need certain toolds to do this job easily... any more questions feel free to ask...

Clutch not properly disengaging on a 91 ln130 surf

You seem to have a bad or weak pressure plate. Even if its relatively new it may be defective. As far as help to remove the gearbos our its alot of work and its very heavy. I would need a transmisson jack to hold the box. reove all the bolts arount the bell housing the starter and lines to slave cylinder. You should be able to wiggle the box out. To re-install you need a clutch alignment tool.
ps. USE OEM PARTS ONLY (dealer parts) TO REPLACE, TOO MUCH WORK FOR AFTER MARKET PARTS. Good Luck
