Question about 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
So, I like my music loud and need to replace my factory speakers. That's the easy part. I get the general concept of taking off the door panel and getting to the speaker BUT here are my questions:
1) do I just pry around the entire panel until it comes off?
2) if there are door air bags, will they be damaged?
3) will it mess up any another wiring if I simply swap the speaker for a similar one?
4) will I have to replace or upgrade fuses as a result of the new speakers?
I really hope someone has some answers or advice. I'd really like to know what I'm getting myself into before I go prying off door panels.
They make a tool V-shaped that should be used for prying around the door panel..door airbags should not be triggered unless wiring for them is shorted, replacing speakers should not mess up any other wiring , fuses should be fine as are..
