Check the ignition timing. Check the cables for leaking voltage through cracks in the insulation, or check for very high resistance. Check the distributor for cracks.

P0304 cilinder 4 misfire detected

Depending on make and model could be a coil, plug, wire, injector, or internal engine problem. Most likely a coil if its a ford, or just a tuneup if its a chevy

Golf 4 1.6 sr estate, lack of power, number 4 cilinder spark plug always wet, as soon as you load the family and try going up a hill it takes you a while

You need to replace the no.# 4 ignition coil!
Don't drive the car with this no.# 4 cylinder misfire, because the catalytic converter will be damaged by unburned petrol!
Just replace the no.# 4 ignition coil! That's all the job.

Cilinder 6 misfire have changed spark plugs and coil still misfiring

If you are sure it is cylinder 6 then the next steps you need to find out is if the cylinder has compression and fuel. A misfire can be from 3 things:
  1. No spark (correctly timed spark)
  2. No fuel (bad injector or pump, clogged injector or line)
  3. No compression (stuck open valve, bent valve, burned piston, bad rings)
Always check these 3 things and track backwards from there.

Hello, i can seem to get rid off a missfire in my ford explorer 4x4 4.6 v8 from 2002. i changed the plugs and it ran great for about ten minutes, then it started miss firering again. it is even worse on...

If your coils/wires are on the correct cylinders then, with the truck running unplug your alternator if the truck runs smooth then you have a short inside the alternator causing change in electrical current, if this is case replace alternator.

When turning key I get a single click and nothing else. I have changed the selenoid and have now lost all power, not even a dome light. The battery is charged.

Clean your battery posts. Sometimes they look like they are clean but even the thinnest film of corrosion will take out you electrical system. Make sure all connections are tight.

A typical tune up includes spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, spark plug wires, distributor cap and ignition rotor. You must determine which parts are needed before you start.
I would suggest to first check spark plugs and spark plug wires.
