Your transmission fluid needs to bechanged ASAP along with the filter. (my tranny did that and within a month my engine blew up!)

1998 Lincoln Continental runs rough at idle and stalls out sometimes.It has been doing it more often lately.RUns ok once I get up to speed .Plus I get ok MPG. GOt error codes p0190 & p1131 & p0455.

code p0190 refers to fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor--circuit malfunction===causes wiring--FRP sensor--ECM
code p0455 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve --open circuit ===causes wiring short circuit--EVAP canister purge valve--ECM
code p1131 refers to faulty heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) bank 1 which is the sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter

85 nissan doesnt seem to b getting feul all the time

Check or replace the fuel pump control unit, common problem on the 720 models. It is in the right kick panel near the glove box. The part costs about $60 from Nissan.
There was also a recall on the ECM relay-causing surging, bucking, stalling, instruments go crazy. Relay is in the box at right rear of engine compartment.
Have you replaced the fuel filter and checked the air filter?

Parked my car and when i went to drive home it wouldn't start , nothing totally dead. wouldn't start with a boost.

This happened to my sisters cavalier about a year ago. What you want to do is on the + side of the battery follow the red wire lead it should split in to 2 different wires a big wire and a small wire. The big wire should go down to starter and the small wire runs to a fuze box on the drivers side fender well behind the battery. Where the small wire conects to the fuzebox check that conection. On my sisters car it was broken there and would not allow power to get to the PCM, ECM and nothing worked. I hope this helps you out. If you have any questions let me no. goodluck, kyle

My nissan 350z sometimes stalls after starting

after i replaced the battery in my 2003 350z, it would stall immediatly after i cranked it on unless i gave it a little gas. I fixed this by cleaning the MAF and throtle body valve. Total supply costs were $15 and took about 20 minutes. My Z is not only fixed but runs smoother and cleaner.

I have a 95 cavailer.the car runs fine,but when i put the car in gear all my dash lights come on my abs light,air bag lights,and emerg brake lights come on,and my day light running ltghts don't come on at...

Your going to have to trouble shoot the problem. The vehicle is new enough that it probably has a ECM running everything. You may have a short in the sensor switch for the shifter that senses the position of the shifter and tells the engine how to run for that gear. If it is not working right it can back feed to the ECM and cause all sorts of wierd things to happen. The ECM (engine control module) is not cheep to replace. I would also check all your fuses and relays on the fuse blocks to make sure they are working correctly. It could be as simple as a fuse blown, a trans position sensor bad, or other control switch, worse case the ECM will have to be replaced. I would take it to a shop and have them put the engine code meter on it and see what trouble codes it kicks out and go from there. Good Luck, RAC
