Classic not go into drive I clean the linkage. going to buy the filter kit today. car was stole month ago I got it wont go into drive anymore. Is this why can drive in reverse

Filter and fluid isn't going to fix this problem. Could be the clutch band or forward clutches. Either is a transmission rebuild or replace. Smell the transmission fluid. Smell burnt?

No electrical power for a 1978 chevrolet caprice classic

Check the wires on the alternator- some were routed in a way that they could wear through from mislocation of the harness so the wire would be cut through by a pulley.

If can also be a loose connection down at the starter, or at the block depending which battery cable you follow. It can also be a faulty or failed starter solenoid too..

Tranny has no pressure

could be the filter in the pan stopped up, would be worth checking but your pump probley went out which is a tranny rebuild. One more thing to check though unlikely is look to be sure the 3 bolts that hold the torque convertor to the flywheel didn't back out and fall out

Automatic Transmission shifts late and rough after warm

If it has over 60000 miles it may need a transmission service, which includes a filter and fluid change, fluid may look fine but if filter is clogged and not picking up fluid fast enough when u give it gas the pump spins faster and forces fluid thru to shift, more fluid is needed to shift into higher gear.than to drive
