Question about 2000 Mitsubishi Galant

I'm locked out even with the radio code...

2002 galiant radio code - I have my radio code and tried to use it (after my battery had died) to reset my radio. The LCD display doesn't illuminate properly, and I inputted the code incorrectly 3 times and have been locked out. When I try to turn on the radio, the display says OFF instead of CODE.

My car radio stereo is locked when i tried to start the car after the battery had died. How do i unlock it?

If the battery voltage goes down dead as when you tried to start the codes have reset. it is easier to get help from your dealer ship as the codes are given to the client when the car is sold. it will be in the database of the car.
if not get help from the links below:

I bought a 2002 Honda CR-V and the battery died. We have fixed the battery and now the radio is locked because we don't know the code. Please help.

the only way to fix this is by obtaining a code from the radio manufacture, or possibly honda when u call the dealership have your vin# handy. they will need it to acesess your code. this info is free of charge from both Honda and the radio manufacturer.

Is there any way to reset the check engine (obd)light on a 2002 dodge intrepid?

Two ways: 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then try to start - that will reset the light, but also reset the radio, clock, etc. 2. Go to an Autozone store. They will reset it for free and will even tell you the code that caused it.

2002 Jetta TDI radio fuse number? After battery vent dead, need to reset radio by pulling fuse. It is not marked in fuse box and no fuse list is in mannual.

The Fuse number is..... drum roll..... 42 .... And you don't even have to have a dead battery for the radio to lock up. I have owned my 2002 tdi since New... and about 4 or 5 times a year radio dies. When you remove the fuse... don't immediately put it back in.... The capacitors in the radio have not fully discharged and if you put the fuse right back in.. chances are it will stay locked. I count to 15... then put the fuse back in. Close fuse door.... Operate radio normally till next lock up.... then repeat process. So you won't forget the fuse number... write #42 in the white space of your fuse location sticker that is attached to the inside of the fuse door. Hope this helps... tried to be detailed.

Battery died need code

If radio codes were easily available it would not make it a theft deterrent...If you have the original paperwork it should be there somewhere. If not, bring your registration as proof of ownership to any dealer and they can get that info for you.

Kia rio 2002 model how do i decode my stero its asking for a code

Check the owners manual, there's a 4 digit code in one of the manuals for the radio...Try the code 1212 or 1111....if you enter the wrong code too many times it locks up and you have to disconnect the battery cable and re-connect it to reset the lock on the radio...call the dealership service department and a tech will provide you the correct code to unlock the radio
