Question about 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio
2002 Cabrio: Just started yesterday - Right after start-up, the lamp starts flashing. Temp gauge shows lowest mark. After running for awhile, it shows about 190 (straight up) and the lamp still flashes. The temp never goes past straight up, but the light always flashes. Any ideas? I haven't checked the thermostat. With the temp gauge holding steady at 190, I figured it was cooling like its supposed to, and that its a sensor problem instead. But I'm no expert!
Its a Low Coolant indication. Fill the reservoir to at least the MIN level.

Assuming its flashing red, check the coolant level.I had the same problem with my Cabrio and it turned out to be a leak. I have seen one flash blue on my friends new Beetle but that car had way worse issues.
