Question about 2004 Ford Explorer
I have a dvd player from a 2004 ford explorer and i am trying to put it in another vehicle. the part number on the back of the dvd player is 3L1J-10E947-AA. so far i have gotten it hooked up. it has power and plays dvd's but i am not able to use the remote and i can only get sound thru the wireless headphones. when i do something i like to do it right and want to finish this install. and help with wiring diagams for the ford would be great. i have them for the vehicle it is going into.

easiest and smartest way would be to get plugs from any sterio shop.these plugs wire to the radio and plug directly to the factory harness

It sounds to me like the explorer has a bad hub bearing up front.I would have this checked out especially if one has become loose. The hub bearing take the place of what use to be wheel bearings:)
