Why is passenger wiper not returning to hidden place?

The wiper arm has probably slipped off of the motor gears...to fix this, both arms will need to be removed...but first check for a wiper "fuse" Check your owners manual for location...if the fuse is OK, you should still hear the wipers trying to move...after removing both arms, you will have to try the wiper switch and hopefully notice both bases are turning freely...turn the wipers off before turning your car off...this will show you the normal down position...be sure when putting the arms back on that they both remain in the down position before turning them on...hope this helps.

Wipers willnot return to park position

I've fixed this problem before. You have to disconnect the wiper transmission from the wiper motor. Put wipers in off position, unbolt the plate on top of wiper, turn wipers on then off. In the off position see where the wiper transmission is position in relation to where the park position is, remove the top plate from wiper motor and position it so as to be able to reconnect the wiper transmission now in the proper place. Please keep me informed. thanks you

99 Yukon windshield wipers sometimes won t turn on and other time stop after working

We had the same problem and sometimes they wouldn't turn off. The intermittent wipers were random. We replaced the wiper motor. Be sure to get the motor with two balls on the wiper shaft (one for each wiper arm). If you can't find it, you'll have to change the part out on the new motor. Keep the wiper arms in the same location on removal, or it will jam and you'll have to start over.
