Question about 1997 Pontiac Sunfire
My car has been dying at stop lights and when pulling off of exits. The engine knocks and the car has difficulty accelerating. The fuel and air filters are fine, the problem is not with the solenoid and the battery/alternator and charger are fine. i recently used oil and fuel treatments to try to remedy the problem but it didn't work. I'm getting a new car in July and I just need this one to last about six more weeks.
When was the last time you had the timing belt replaced. Just occasionally, worn timing belts can jump a tooth, resulting in retarded ignition and/or retarded valve timing.
