First di you hear a rack sound under the hood thats mean yoour compressor is neeed to be changed , that could happen because of a leak or you comp. is worn . this is mechanical the electrical causes is low fuel cut off sensors or high fuel cutoff sensors so you should make a mechanic check it

I have replaced the air compresor the upper side and lower side switch and the air compresor won't come on what could be the problem

If you don't have pressure the clutch on the compressor will not come on. Have you checked your fuses. The first fuse you can check is the fuse for the A/C compressor clutch itself. That fuse is in the interior fuse panel. It is in the number 23 position and should be a 15 amp fuse (see 1st picture/diagram of fuse layout). If you have the 3.8 liter engine there is also a pressure switch fuse. That fuse is in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment in the number 24 position and should be a 20 amp fuse. i hope this helps and good luck.

You may just have to have the system recharged with coolant. When was the last time it was checked?

How can i check if the air compresor is working on my 2004 navigator air suspension system

When you first turn it on in the morning the compressor should come on to level the vehicle. They are usually mounted under the hood or somewhere in the rear of the vehicle and will make a slight buzzing noise when you get close to it.. You will know its working when the vehicle stays level and has a somewhat cushioned ride (the air struts have air in them)

How do I get codes for the a/c display on the pontiac grandprix

to get the codes you need a OBD scaner and by what you mentionabout the a/c your compresor is either not coming on aor is no good, check the fuses and relay to the a/c system,if the compresor is coming on then the unit isnt good.

Noise from A/C Compressor

Hi,it is allways better to remove the compresor ,do to the lack of room to work on the engine compartment,by what you are telling me it sounds like your compresor is bad you may try to replace the bearing but you may found the compresor on line for the same price with less troubles. good luck.C1
