  • Assumed your AC unit is OK, but uneven temperature distribution. Try to throw the heater on an off severtime. A sticky valve on the heater would cause similar problem.
  • Observe the RPM while parking your car. While the AC cut in cut out (or turn on an off). If it cause no load on the engine. The freon may be low or the compressor is bad. In this case only the intake side of the evaporator is cooler than the other side.

When running the A/C on my Buick Lesabre, cold air only comes out of the passenger side of the dash vents. Warm air comes out of the drivers side. The car does NOT have the dual control climate system. It...

The most common cause in these cars is low refrigerant charge (R134A refrigerant). The safest and proper way is to have the system leak tested and the AC pressures tested with gauges. That said many people buy the precharged cans of refrigerant that come with a charging hose and low side (this is the side refrigerant is added to) charge indicator for about $20. These cans also contain oil for the A/C system. Don't overcharge the system.

Note if you have a leak it will quit again. How long it'll last depends on the nature and severity of the leak.

My AC blows hot air out the driver's side and cold

My 02 Century has dual temp controls . One for driver for passenger. Make sure you don't have the dual climate enabled and just set for heat on your side and AC on the passengers

Cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers side

Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.c976077.jpg

My lesabre blows warm air on driver side cool air on passenger side

If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.

2003 buick lesabre AC problem

You have to find the motor that controls the blend door and open it manually to find out which one is bad there are 3 blend doors on the HV/AC system one will be where the heater core is. The other will be between the vented air and AC? heating system then the third door will operate vents in dash and defrost condition. If you have someone operate them AC system heating system and watch the blend door motors, the one you find not moving will be the one that has the problem. They have vacuum and electrical motors, if it is a acuum motor you can move the door manually with your hand, if it's electric you will have to disconnect the rod by removing the pinch clip off of the rod.

yes it is called the blend door, you either have a sticking blend door or the actuator motor for the door is defective and does not completely shut off the heater core. The pass side has it's own blend door.

I had same problem on 2000 Lesabre blowing cold on passenger and warm on driver. I fixed it by adding more freon even though it had 28 pounds of preasure. Now it works great!
