you are overheating. Check temp sender in block. Also make sure fan relay is operational in fuse box. Fans should come on after about 5 minutes of idle.

1999 chrysler sebring oil pressure drops when the car warms up but wheh you mash the gas, the pressure rises.the car use to shut off when the oil pressure droped but now it dosent. i replaced the oil...


I think your sensor may be affective. The same thing happens to my sebring and it has been like that forever. You can check the oil pressure sensor and see if it needs replaced.

check radiator see if water is flowing / you should be able to see water movin/ if is change rad. cap

My engine light is on, and my car is overheating,how can i check if the problem is the thermostat ?


take the thermostat out, put it in a pot with water and heat the water, if it starts to open long before the water boils then the thermostat could be considered ok as long as it opens within the specified heat range.
To check the temp that it opens at you can put a cooking temperature gauge in the water to check the opening temp

My 1997 Sebring overheats while in idle but


does it overheat going down the road if not check to see if radiator fan(s) is running when it heats up at idle car needs fan to run cool at idle but not while going down road
