Check there is voltage going to the starter motor solidnoid from the ignition swithch when the key is turned.also check continuity from earth from battery to engine. If all fails try getting jumps leads and put one from battery neg to to engine and the other from battery pos to pos connection of starter motor. that should turn engine over. This should help you figer out whats going on. but be carefull.

Car won't start without a jump but battery okay

wont crank or wont start.??
no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic)
that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch.
ill answer for, wont CRANK !
it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started.
1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.
easy, huh?

My 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited has a new battery but won't start. When I try to jump start it, it just makes a clicking sound but won't start.

Most likely you have a bad connection somewhere. Trace the battery cables and clean/tighten all terminals or try jumping to a different lug. You might also try removing the starter and jumping directly to the starter to verify that it is good.

04 jeep grand cherokee won't start just drags,

Could be a failing starter or problems with the cables.
A dead cell in the battery will do it too.

Won't start but can hear starter make a click noise when trying to start with key

will it start with a jump ? if it does replace the battery and have the charging system tested, if it will not start with a jump then most likely you will need to replace the starter.

When I attempt to start my 89 jeep cherokee, it only makes a clicking noise, near the starter relay. Then occasionally it will try to turn over, but makes a grinding noise near the starter.

try to jump start it if it starts its the battery,if it doesnt than it time to remove the starter and go have it tested, while its out look for any worn teeth on the flywheel and starter solenoid teeth also.if starter comes back ok then look at all the cables, look for corrosion as it can hide under the wire sheilding.

2006 Jeep Wrangler won't start

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.

My '89 Jeep Wagoneer won't start. It has a 6month

sounds like the starter actually have some one load test it for you, might be drawing more power then it need, hence the need for a jump

have you given the jeep a jump start....? push while in second gear? If it then starts it can only be your starter.....If it is not catching then there would be a prob with the flywheel as the teeth can wear...? you can give the 1st part a go...see if that works
