Question about 1999 Dodge Ram
Jigling the wire harness, seems to help but still dies. Unplugging from the computer and replugging seems to get it started, but will not stay running. We're taking off the air compressor to the air conditioner, so we can see if there are any wires shorting out because of insulation rub. 80,000 miles and normally runs good. Has had a new water pump, and a new serpentine belt.
This is a common problem on the 5.9 engine after 60,000 miles. Try a simple to do seafoam fuel system clean. go to youtube for video to see results ahead of time.Type Seafoam treatment in search box. You may have moisture in your fuel system from condensation. Possibly carbon build up in your exhaust. the Seafoam will help fix this. RE Your serpentine belt make sure your tensioner spring is tight enough
