use a test light or, a voltmeter and, check for power going through the highbeam switch to the headlights If you are not familiar with how to do this test an autoparts store can check it for you usually without charge

Try giving the plug at the back of the headlight bulb a little jiggle it may not have a full connection to get the juice to the bulb for it to work.

Left high beam does not work. Fuse and bulb are fine.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Please try this. Transfer the right side high beam bulb to the left. After that, turn on the high beam and observe if the left side will respond. If it does respond then the problem will be on the bulb itself.

If the problem still persists then the problem can be just on the bulb connector. If the bulb connector is worn out, the bulb tends to operate.

I strongly suggest that you replace the bulb and bulb sockets if found out faulty to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

My light problem is i have low beam on right side no low on left side i turn highs on and right side goes out and high on left turns on then when back to lows beams and i pull turn signal to flash high...

If you have separate bulbs for the low and high beams(4 light system), if you pull the turn signal and hold it, all 4 lights will stay on until you release the turn signal. You need to replace the bright bulb on the right side and the low bulb on the left side. If your headlights only have one bulb on each side, then you will have to replace both of them to get everything to work.

2000 Ford Mustang GT. High beams BOTH WORK. Signal lights BOTH WORK. Low beam ONLY works on the right side. Both bulbs have been replaced. What is going on???? This is driving me mad!!

Have you checked the fuses yet? The low beams use 2 different fuse for the left and right lamps. The fuse for the left lamp is #10 in the central junction box located behind the dash to the left of the steering column.

Hi i have a 1994 escort ive checked the fuses but headlihtgs only work om parking and high beam but not normal beam

There is the unlikely possibility that the low beam bulbs are both burned out, but more than likely it would be the high beam switch that is the cause.

My left low beam headlight is doesn't work. I have changed the bulb and relay. It does come on for a split second once in a while when I turn the ignition on and off.

Lights go off when i turn on the high beam

Pull your lever back if the high beams work that way you need a new high/low beam switch, if they do not you need to replace headlight bulbs.
