Question about 1997 Volvo 960
I have a 97 Volvo 960. After sitting for a couple of hours, or overnight, the A/C blows cold for about 20 minutes, then goes to warm air. I took it to the local import garage, who does great work. They pumped out the freon and replaced it with the required amount in case it was low. I picked the car up last night and after heading toward home it started blowing warm air again after 20 minutes or so. They told me to bring it back so they could check some sensors.
Has anybody had an issue like this with their A/C?
Check the followings:
1. Pressure Switch connection - under front right hand side near lips.
2. Thermostat Switch connection - at the dryer under the hood
3. Retrun Valve maybe blocked - in the cooling pipe from the compressor
4. Cooling Thermostat in the compressor itself.
