Back firring into intake manifold

I have a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.1 V6 and the car has begun to back fire into the intake manifold. I think the timming is out but can't find any reference material to find how to adjust it. It has a DIS ign. system and I'm am lost at this point. How can I fix this problem before I send the car off for parts?

How to remove intake manifold for 1997 pontiac grand prix

You have to remove anything that is connected and in the way of the intake. Remove the fuel rail, the EGR valve and supply pipe from the manifold, the map sensor, the vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator, the alternator and support bracket, the water pipes for the throttle body, and the bolts that hold it down.

1993 pontiac grand prix 3.1L V6 need a diagram for intake manifold tighten specs.

The sequence and the torque values can be had via a Chilton's manual or Haynes manual.

I have searched for these values, but the sites always make reference to the manuals.
Average price of a manual can be from $5.95 to $25.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!
