I had battery replaced on my vehicle but the radio and inside lights haven't worked since the battery was replaced

I had the battery replaced on my Mazda MPV two weeks ago. However, since the battery was replaced the radio and inside lights don't work. Why is this and how can the problem be rectified?

Could be that a ground wire got disconnected or moved to a point that it is no longer making an electrical connection. I would check those first, if that doesn't fix the problem i would move on to your fuses and make sure that the one controlling you lights and radio aren't burned out.

Replaced battery, shutting down also smoke from radio.

You have a major short in your radio or in the harness inside the dash do not run this vehicle until you solve this issue. It is a fire hazard and could possibly cause the battery to explode

Tries to start then clicks, radio and light work

First I would charge the battery or connect boost leads, check all battery connections earth lead to body and engine. Radio and lights don't need high battery amps like the starter motor so they will work on a flat battery. If when a good battery is connected to the vehicle and it still clicks then the starter needs replacing.

How do I get my electronics to work again?

I would also check the relays and the fuses in the engine drivers side I believe. Also the ones inside. Yes I do believe there is a fuse behind the stereo but when my battery died in my 04 durango it killed the cd player but the radio worked. I would check all the stuff you can to your ability. Does your stratus have a box next to the postive cable to the battery where it hooks on the terminal. You may need to replace that.

Don't have signal lights and heater blower inside of vehicle want work

It looks like it's possible something regarding your battery wasn't hooked up correctly after your heater control valve was replaced (a wire could have just been jarred loose) which would cause the radio/lights not to work. Your best bet is to contact the mechanic to get it fixed.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lost radio illumination in 2008 HHR

Internal workings of the radio, if the radio is operating fine then your bulbs/lighting inside the radio is bad as the lights come on with power to the radio. Normally they don't replace this and just swap the radio which is expensive. If the vehicle is still under warranty I would take it back and even if its not its an 08 go and raise hell to the dealer and force them to buy you a new radio!!

Battery went dead changed it now no power inside the dash is dead only air bag light no radio no a/c no windows no alternator truck starts i touch a hot wire to the ecu fuse inside of truck and everthing...

Hook the battery up or try to jump-start backwards did we?
The ECU fuse gets it's power from the 140 Amp (or 180 Amp, depending on which engine your vehicle is equipped with) ALTERNATOR fuse in the engine compartment fuse block.

because you reversed the polarity you have damaged some of the electronics especially the radio & the clock I'm not sure about the fan but you have done damage to it,the clock & radio will have to be repaired, you're very lucky that you haven't damaged more electronic equipment in the vehicle.....hope this helps......cheers.

Replace number plate light

Hi,

If you cannot uscrew the lens of the light from the outside of the vehicle, then access to the bulb is usually behind a panel, inside the boot.

The above applies to most cars, but is an assumption in this case, as you haven't told us which model vehicle you have.

When trying to start it makes a clicking noice. The battery works since radio & lights come on.

The battery can be charged/working enough to turn on a radio or lights, but can also be insufficient for starting a vehicle at the same time; one is powering electronic while the other requires actual mechanical movement of the starter (much more labor intensive). The battery might still be the problem.

Have you tried checking the starter as well?

Engine will not start/adio does not work but int/ext lights ok

this is most likely the battery protection relay, this is part of the lighting control module (LCM/GEM), your dealer can test test it but the issue may have been related to the cold, this module controls almost everything except the engine and trans.
