Question about 2001 Ford Taurus
I have a 2001 ford tarus and I have replaced the alternator two times over the last 4months. I put a new one in and drive for about 15 mintues and all is find but, then the battery lights come on and the car dies.
Take it to a dealer or a local shop because it sounds like you have a wiring problem. Try this first, start the car and remove the positive battery cable and if the car dies it is your alternator or a wiring problem, if it does not die that it is more that likely your battery. take your battery into advance auto parts or auto zone and have your battery tested. i would do the same with my alternator also.(Just to be safe)
