Lost both FOBS?
be happy, mine i must keep 3 working.... or cant make my own.
rule 1, never have 1 fob. or get stranded, , you will.....
so does other fob work?

1: check all fuses. both boxes
2: use only the key fob, no other keys on ring, for the test.
3: use the 2nd fob same way , now. with other key far away.
4: make sure battery voltage is 12.6vdc, 10.7v the IMMO goes belly up. (any $10 voltmeter , works)

5: have only 1 fob (transponder-key) near the ignition.
6: do not have other keys near Ignition switch. even just plain keys.
watch out, some after market keys are transponsers but look plain.
I have one for my car. button less fob. very trim, but is transponder key.
7: for sure not other transonder keys from other "cars or anything"

The Lamp means, your transponder key is dead. or scrambled.
buy a new battery for fob. the operator guide tells you what to do.
lost that?
on mine i put in a fresh coin cell and bam, it works.

on newer jeeps, if the IMMO thinks your are hacking the system.
it bricks the IMMO for 24hours, sucks huh?
for example, using a key from another car , in some odd way.
or doing same and battery is weak or remove from under hood.
it thinks its being attacked,, and goes stupid for 24hrs.
i dont think yours has this, , but mine does.

SOURCE: my immobilizer will not disarm

when you say "the immobilizer will not go off" that mean you can still drive the car or not, when the immobilizer goes on you can start the car but will not run, so what do you need a spear key for .you may need the valet key, is a gray key .
I am professional car alarm and remote start installer so I deal with this kind of problems if you have any question email me

Where is the immobilizer location on a 2006 range Rover sport

The immobilizer stays active until you actually try to start. To start (and turn the immobilizer off) the key needs to be in the ignition, the code in the fob read by the security system and the ignition switched to start - this is when the immobilzer LED goes off.

If the car was unlocked and had the correct key the car would still not start unless the key was attached to the correct fob.

2000Jeep grand Cherokee wj immobilizer

Generally, I warn against bypassing immobilizers. You need the key fob for the doors though. The door fob is part of the security system.

I own a 2000 Mazda Etude. We lost the immobilizer fob or module of the car and we are now unable to start the vehicle. Any helpful suggestions please.

Question edited for clarity and spelling 'phob' > fob.

The immobilizer is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. You need a new fob and you need it programming. You have two alternatives, call the dealership or call a mobile auto locksmith.

How do I disarm the anti--theft alarm in my 2006 pt cruiser

DisARM, or DisBLE?

Disarm

Press the "Unlock" key on your key fob to deactivate the alarm and unlock the car doors. If you've lost your key fob, unlocking the driver's side door with the key automatically deactivates the PT Cruiser's alarm.

How to Disable PT Cruiser Factory Antitheft System ' It Still Runs

Disable anti-theft

Short answer, you can't!
Want to bypass your vehicle security system?
The short answer is you can't!

All modern cars have alarms and immobilizers. There is a chip in the key and a chip in the ignition lock. If both are present, the ECM (engine control module) releases power to the ignition circuit. When you turn the key, the starter spins the engine and you get a spark. If any one of those three items are not in the chain, you get the engine to turn, but no spark. There is no way to beat the system. You have to fix what is wrong, not find a way around it.

The immobilizer is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do.

The immobilizer will not turn off using key fob and car won't start on my 95 ford thunderbird lx because the immobilizer is engaged.

Yeah whenever the hoods popped her a jar open there's a safety switch that won't let it start in case you're under the hood or working on it the front and you have the key in your pocket and you accidentally trigger the start mode I recently found out my wouldn't start and it was just simply just popped a little bit and just need to close it all the way

My car won't start due to my alarm went off when I stuck my key in the door

You have to disarm the alarm first. The alarm has an immobilizer that will prevent the car from running if the alarm has been tripped. Usually there is an override button under the dash somewhere. The key usually has to be in the ignition and turned on while holding the button. Otherwise, unlocking it with the FOB (key-less remote) will usually reset it too.

My immobilizer does not recognise my key fob

Put key in ignition.
Press unlock button on key fob.
Immobilizer should now recognize it, if it was original fob but car or fob battery was changed or is now low.

Saabs are particular about batteries that are otherwise good, but just below 12 volts.

How to program key fob for 2011 hyundai santa fe

Nonsense. I just programmed a new remote start fob on my 2011 Santa Fee limited and it worked just great. Follow the steps below and see what happens.
1. Open the drivers side door
2. Turn the Vehicle ignition to the ON position (Do not start the vehicle)
3. Locate the disarm/program button. (look closely, it is located on the wiring harness just inside the lower dash. it could be located just inside the fuse cover.)
4. Press and hold the disarm/programming button for 10 to 15 sewconds, the horm will beep 3 times. Release the disarm/programming button.
5. On the fob, press the Find/Panic button One time and the horn will beep one time.
6. Turn off vehicle ignition. (YOUR DONE)

This morning I came out to start my 96 jetta and the battery seemed dead. So I began the process of getting a jump and as soon as we connected the jumper cables to the jetta the alarm started going off. We...

The immobilizer feature was tripped when the alarm went off. It sounds like the battery was indeed dead. My Nissan 300ZX used to trip the alarm when I jump-started it, although my Audi A4 does not. When the alarm is going off, you have to disarm it with the key or key fob first, or you won't be able to start it. Try putting the key in the door, lock it, unlock it, lock it again, and unlock it again, just to make sure you get a couple of arm/disarm cycles, then try starting it.
