Question about 1998 Mercury Mountaineer
The heater blow out hot air no matter where I turn the temperature dial to. Even when its turned all the way to cool. When I turn the A/C on, the A/c works but you can still feel the hot air mixing in. It worked fine yesterday. Is it the switch? It turns and stops where its suppose to. Lights up. The heater is always blowing hot air I turn the temp dial and nothing seems to happen I read his solution but that doesn't answer how to fix it
Everything that is heat and cooling in a vehicle is controlled by vacuum from the engine. It appears to me that your blend door vacuum line to the temp control switch is either off or cracked/broken and not making things work the way you want/expect. It's the vacuum friend.
