The radio/cc amd cd seems to be playing alright but i can hear anything
It sounds like a possible software problem. I beleive Mercedes had an update where they flash the command unit(it is possible it does not appy to yours) The command looks like a mini t.v. screen the other d2b radio looks like a conventional car radio. Ty removing key and pulling out the fuse for the radio power- if you can't find it disconnect the battery neg. for 10 minutes. I believ if you pop out the cover at the end of the driver's side of the dash you will see a fuse box diagram sheet in one of the corners of the plastic frame. Your amp is located in the l side of the trunk liner- poss. r side you need to pull the liner loose and see- there is a power fuse for the amp in the amp- I beleive that you would not have c.d. recognition if this fuse is blown but you should check it anyway-if you have a car phone it is also part of the fiber optic loop. if none of these fix your problem post another discription and i'll reply

thats very technical, the cd player seems to be running...it all happened when the key wasnt working properly when i press the key to open the car sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt and then the sound from the car stopped,
the key works fine now but the sound didnt resume......
is the c.d player recognized by the head unit. most likely fiber optic problem. the amp is fiber optically woken up by head unit-iy doesn't realize the radio is on
