Question about 2003 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

My air conditioner in my 2003 KIA Sedona sometimes works

I have two different switches to turn on the air-conditioner. One for the front of the car and one to turn the air-conditioner on in the back of the car. They both work seperately. I believe that there is only one compressor in the car. The air conditioner in the back works. The air-conditioner in the front makes a click noise but no air comes out. Yesterday, for about an hour, it worked. I then parked, went out to the store and did not use the car for an hour. Later, I started the car again and the air-conditioner in the front, again, did not work. Could you please help me with my query? Thank you I have the same problem as yours. The front AC works ON and OFF. The rear AC works great. Anyone knows what causes this?

Air conditioning system, when you turn on the air conditioner the drivers side blows cold air and the passengers side blows hot air? What causes this problem?

The most common cause of this is that you have a stuck air temperature control blend door, this can be a motor actuator issue or a jammed door or both (common). To replace both parts you will need to completely remove the dash from the car to access the blend door.

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

If the heater hoses for the front heater are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

First I would check your radiator fluid level, sometimes being low can have this effect. Usually the rear heaters sit at a lower level and so keep working. If that is fine, then you probably have an issue with the diversion door or controller that controls the hot/cold mixture.

I have a 2003 Kia Sedona, A/C unit blowing hot air. I tried to recharge with canaster of A/C purchased from auto supply to no avail.

Ours did the same- turned out to be a problem with the selector switch. Replaced it and all was fine.... for a while, now stopped again.
