Truck Radio/CD Player, no sound coming out of speakers

We have a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. I drove the truck this morning and couldn't get any sound to come out of the speakers. My husband drove it last night and he said the radio and cd player were working fine. He stated all he did was turn the volume down. The display is showing, you can hear the CD player working but there is no sound. I have checked all of the radio settings. I too have the Bose 6 cd system in my 2004 Avalanche. The stereo system works but I have no sound coming from the speakers. If I plug headphones into the rear "stereo" I can hear just fine.

Sometimes the speakers can all go bad at the same time . Try replacing one and see if it works, it happened on my dads 94 CHEVY PU.

Have a 02 park avenue an tha radio comes on cd player and tape player works but no sound coming from tha speakers whats tha problem

These cars have an Amplifier to run the speakers. The amp is normally in the truck between the rear 6x9 speakers. The amp is probably fried. You can buy bypass wire harnesses on Ebay that will bypass the failing amp, or simply get a new one.

I hooked up a kenworth in my 2004 chevy alvance and now my speakers wont work

What you have is that the Amp that come equipped with Truck has to be unplugged and bypassed. The factory radio has a security code built in and uses a amp to push the speakers. As long as the amp is hooked up,you will not get any sound from speakers

I have a cd stuck in the radio & it won't eject it (states no cd), makes a clcking sound. how to fix it?

Usually there is a hole in close to the cd slot, where a pin can be inserted in order to push out a cd manually or a similar manual override.
Which CD player/ radio are you using?

2008 avalanche intermittent sound from speakers.

if its the doors then the seal on the speakers is letting water in and shorting out the speaker and causing the other speakers to do the same as the amp is being overloaded over time you will need a new radio as it will blow the amp in it. safety device will not keep saving the amp.

My driver side door speakers both front and back will not work on my 2003 Chevy Avalanche and also the passenger side in the back is not working also

Did they ALL stop at the same time?

Are you running an AMP?

It sounds like your Radio Settings, Radio Internal Failure or a Wiring Fault on the REAR of the Radio..

03 avalanche power keeps on drawing from somewhere and in the morning its dead. I will jump it and it will run fine!

are you leaving anything plugged in, cellphone charger, radar dector, emergency lights, cb, etc, if so unplug all of it that will kill the battery, if not the case, you got a short somewhere

Take your vehicle to your chev. truck dealer, they can send it in for repairs or they can also get you a re-furbished one at a low cost.

Bose radio comes on but no sound in my 2004 chevy avalanche.Sometimes even with radio off you hear a popping sound come from speakers. thanks

First Visually check all your fuses. Does rig have amp for stereo by any chance? It sounds like amp is bad and/or fuse is blown. Amp is wired between radio and speakers, and a shorted amp would make crackling in speakers when radio is OFF

Chevy Avalanche radio turns on but no sound comes out of speakers at all. Whats the problem??

Radio Amp has died. Replace the Radio. The Amp/Pre Amp is built into the radio if this is stock. Buy a new one and install it.
