How to replace both headlight bulbs (lowbeam) on jetta 2006?

I bought Syvania Ultra H7 the brightest one to replace factory bulbs on my jetta 06. Could you tell me how to do it? I understand that I'm not supposed to touch the bulbs with by bare hands. Is it worth it to do it? Can I see the difference?
Thank you much:-)

I would imagine that the bulbs would fit directly into the original harness for the original headlamp bulbs. wear rubber gloves while handling them and open the hood look for the back of the origional headlamps and once found turn them either clockwise or counterclockwise which ever allows movement and once turned as far as they can go pull towards the rear of the car. you should see the old bulb and be able to wiggle it out or pull away the plastic clamps holding the bulb in once removed insert the new bulbs in the place of the old ones and replace them the same way they were taken out.

I'm not sure if you would see a difference or not, but i would use a dish rag of something similar to hold the bulb when you replaced it.

Right lowbeam headlight out, bulb not bad

This is not a very reliable answer but my right headlight went out as we'll and before I bought a bulb I talked to different guys at work, they suggested giving the headlight a good solid tap on the outside and sure enough it came back on. Hopefully this might work for others as well!

I have an 06 pt cruiser and my lowbeams will not work. I have changed bulbs and I have checked all the fuses. I tried to install a H.I.D kit when the lights started flickering then went out. Please help.

this sounds like a bad head light switch, you have replaced the bulbs and all fuses are good then i would say try the headlight switch. there is testing you can do to make sure thats the problem but you will need a test light and also a assume the highbeams work. this is a common problem when the headlights start to flicker its due to a switch most times, if was just one light then i would say to check the wiring to light but as its both then i would start with a new or used headlight switch.good day

Is there a breach in the headlight assembly? Is the bulb fouled (blackened) or cracked? Do you have the correct bulb type? Is it a cheapo bulb? Local vibration can cause premature failure (make sure bulb and assembly do not wiggle

How to deenergize lowbeam headbeam headlight for replacement???

You really don't have to de energize the bulb. Just make sure the lights are in the off position. It uses a D2R 35W HID Capsule bulb part number D2R in Osram/Sylvania. Just remember not to touch the glass on the new bulb while installing it.

Headlight

on each headlamp assembly, there will be either one or two plastic nuts that you can turn.

If you only have one nut on each, that will adjust the vertical aim of the headlights.

If you have two nuts on each, one will adjust the vertical and the other will adjust the horizontal.

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

Lowbeam

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well
