2005 kia Sedona

I have a 2005 Kia Sedona. In Feb I replaced the serpentine belt and the alternator. i also replace the battery. Now my battery light goes on after I start it and it goes off like after a min when I accelerate. I was driving home from camping which I was on a dirt road for 40 miles could that have anything to do with.

It's normal for belts to loosen up a little after installation. I'd check the belt and re-tighten until there's no slack. A slipping belt would certainly cause the issue you have. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck!

Check the connection between the alternator and the battery, my connectors were bad and it played hell with the charging.

Replace all drive belts

The number on the back of the belts will tell you how long the belt is when you get new ones. You'll have to loosen the alternator bolts for one, the power steering pump for another and the AC compressor for the other one.

Accessory bearings or pulleys is locked up on 2005 Kia Sedona, no idea what that cost and if I shoul fix or buy?

Definitely fixable. Take the serpentine belt off and figure out which accessory is locked up. if you're lucky it's just the idler wheel (the one that puts tension on the belt)

Need to replace water pump in2005 kia sedona

The kia sedona water pump is an internal pump and needs to be replaced with timing belt service. if it is leaking, then you need to change the timing belt as well. probably not something you want to do in the back yard and will run you between 400 and 600 depending on your location and shop.

How do you replace a serpentine belt on a 2005 3.5 liter Kia Sedona

Click on the following free, direct Link. It has the Serpentine Belt Diagrams you will need.

http://www.2carpros.com/car_repair_information/year/2005/make/kia/model/sedona/2005_kia_sedona_drive_belt_routing_diagram.htm

On the Serpentine Belt: Scroll down the Link Page to Diagram G00323207, it shows the Tensioner.
1. Loosen the Pulley Lock Nut - identified as "A"
2. Loosen the Adjustment Bolt - identified as "B"
3. The Tensioner Pulley should move up and slightly to the left, loosening the belt enough to remove.

Installation is the reverse of the above.
Note on Diagram G00323206 the deflection tolerance at the 22 lbs pressure on the belt.

How do change the serpentine belt on a 2005 Kia

There is a tensioner pulley that has a nut in the middle of it, loosen that nut and there is a tensioner bolt that when you loosen it, it slides the pulley away from the belt to replace it.
