Pressure hose blew off, antifreeze everywhere, need name of part

I had a hose blow off, its the small one that has plastic clips then go into this small piece that screws into the top of the engine. Antifreeze all over. I need to buy the new part that screws into the top of the engine so i can push the hose back on and clip it in. Anyone know what that part is called? Anyone have any idea why in the last 2 years i have had to replace this part 4 times? Its a 1998.

Try sanding around the pipe before putting on hose because rust sometimes built up where you can't see it, good luck

Truck doesn't heat while idling

Could be low on antifreeze. The heater core is the highest spot in the cooling system and it may develop an air pocket. Another possibility is the thermostat is stuck partially open and doesn't let the engine warm correctly, watch your temp gauge on the dash and see if it comes up to the middle like it should while idling. If it doesn't, it may need replacement.

What would cause the top radiator hose on 2005 lincoln ls v8 to blow out for a second day in a row after replacing it for just the same reason?

Overheating due to bad thermostat or bad radiator cap could cause the problem. The radiator cap vents excessive pressure to the overflow container which should also have fluid in it at all times.

Can you upload a picture? If your air conditioner still blows cold, it is not an ac hose. If it didn't work before you heard the noise, then it could be. If it worked, it would have made a huge huge mess. Equivalent to spraying a couple 12oz cans of oily goo everywhere. Not to mention that it would be under pressure, so a lot more than a little smoke would have would have no doubt...freon is messy.

Antifreeze Leak - '99 Chrysler 300M

what you do is go to a radiator specialist shop and have a coolant pressure test done
most probably a cracked top plastic tank
as for the leak at the back , it could be a rusty welsh plug but the pressure test will also show that

How to pull radiator out of 1 impala 3.4

Its realy not that hard to remove radiators and you don't need a lot of tool to do it. The first thing you need to do is find the small drain on the bottom of the radiator called the petcock usely has a thumb screw or plastic nut. And also has a nipple to attach a small hose to . Open the petcock after you attach the hose and let it drain into a container you olny need to drain a qt and a half out or so .Then you need to remove the fan shroud witch is held together with small bolts 5/16 or 8 mm. If you have remote fans disconect the electrical conecters and they will come out with the shroud . Then disconnect the radiator hoses top first then the bottom you will loose more antifreeze so put your container under the bottom hose and do it slowly but most ou the antifreeze is in the engine block so elevate the hoses wedge them behind what ever you is easyest in the engine compartment . If you have an automatic transmission you will need to remove the cooling lines that go into the radiator . You will see two plastic clips 1 red and 1 blue on most chevys . They will expand and pull of by hand . Under those will be small clips called E clips that can be easly removed with a small screw driver these hold the Orings tight that seal the oil lines .Once again eleavte these lines so they don't leak oil on the ground . Then lift the radiator out and tip it to drain the rest of the antifreeze and oil into a container and your done .you may want to get new Eclips and O rings for the oil line seals if you see any damage to them but if they look OK then you can reuse them . Wonce you see it and have done it you'll see its not hard to do good luck

Leaking antifreeze

could be from numerous locations or just a hose, water pump freeze plug ,you will need to look for antifreez leaks on the floor to get general location of leak, and then try to pin point for external leaks ,leaks under pressure can be confusing, they will beharder to pinpoint, sinse they spray coolant everywhere.

Need to put antifreeze in my 2003 toyota celica

You need to remove the plastic cowling piece on the passenger side of the engine compartment (it has the clip to hold the hood brace attached to it). If you pop up the little plastic clips that hold it down (carefully with a flat screwdriver) the plastic piece will lift out. The anti-freeze reservoir is underneath it with the fill port. The plastic piece covers the cap for the fill port and you can't see it until you take the cowling piece out.
