Question about 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan

Sputtering engine, engine light, stalled

My 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3 liter is sputtering, it is doing it daily but noticed it first when it was damp outside. It stalled once when I was getting off the interstate and turning right. Now the check engine light is on. Many people on here said they replaced the EGR valve and that did not solve the problem. I have used gas cleaner twice. It did seem to improve slightly but now it is worse. I am trying to avoid the dealer at all cost. HELP!

You should have the computer scanned for trouble codes again and see if they are the same codes as before.

My 2005 Grand Caravan has been sputtering or hesitating while in drive but stopped for the last two days. Now today it was doing this more frequently and did twice backa backfire noise and the engine light...

You can take the van to Autozone, they will test the check engine light to be sure. More than likely you have a bad plug wire or plug. If a plug is not firing right it will not burn the gas, hence your rough idle and back fire.

Engine light is on and wont go above 3000 rpms

if you have a autozone near you they will put it on the tester for free and that way you know what is wrong and what is needed to be replace.
