Mark the wires and coil locations and remove them and have them tested at the local parts store. These cars have a know issue with coils and also the igniter base. This can be also tested..Dont guess TEST

Ok so I've had a missfire for a bit and lately its getting real bad, this morning it seemed like I had lost 3 cylinders and the gas loaded the catalytic converter and left it glowing red hot, and still no...

The check engine light does not always come on for things like coils and injectors. Run fault codes to determine where the faults are and fix accordingly. have a fuel pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check for fuel pump/ filter/ and regulator problems.. Have the injectors tested for correct spray pattern and resistance in the units ( shorts equal low voltage readings). Check the coil packs and replace as required

2001 buick regal gs cuts off at ramdom

Not enough information.
Possible causes are coil packs overheating, fuel pump problem, computer, or another wiring problem.
You need to determine if the vehicle is getting fuel and/or spark when it dies.

Codes P0354 P0356

P0354 = Ignition Coil "D" circuit
P0356 = Ignition Coil "F" circuit

Inspect spark plugs first.

Then, measure/test your HT leads to ensure they are within spec.

If the above proves ok, then suspect a bad coil pack

Last week my car would not start i check all the plugs and 1 and 4 where wet and 2 and 3 where dry i clean them all put back together and started the first time and now its doing the same wont start

Locate the 1-4 cylinders coil pack. Have that coil pack checked at the parts store. If there's only one coil pack for all four cylinders, then have the whole coil pack tested. If the coil pack checks out OK, then have the ignition module tested and replace if necessary. If you don't have a parts store that can test them for you, then give me a response and I can tell you how to check them using a test light and an ohm meter. I hope this information has been helpful and thank you for using

Have a 1995 Buick Regal 3.8L, after driving about 80-90 miles the engine stops, let it cool down and will start up and drive away, the coil packs been changed????

The crank position sensor on your 3800 sounds like it is going bad...this is sometimes difficult to show up on diagnostics...The part is about $35...location is near the main crank pulley...Hope this helps.

The spark gets power to spark from coil packs.If the connection between coil pack to spark plug is weak or loose then it will not fire.But if the coil pack as well as the connection between coil pack to spark plugs checked ok then its faulty or dirty spark plugs.Clean the spark plugs with the carb cleaner liquid and let it completely dry.Then check.Also check the voltage between coil pack to spark plugs.If both checked out ok then the other possibility can be weak crank shaft sensor. Thanks.Helpmech.

#4 piston misfires on a 1995 hyundai accent

Pull the coil pack on cylinder #4 and see if is firing.

If not replace coil pack and all should be ok.

Also check that your spark plug is gapped correctly.

Do not pull the coil pack with your hand when the engine is running as you will get a pretty nasty shock.

Hope this helps you out.

How many coils does the vehicle have, and what is/are it/they called?

There called a coil pack 2 or 3 nuts hold it to the side of the engine block just in front or above the starter, all the plug wires go to it, and an electrical plug, i believe there are 3 coils on the pack, one coil for 2 cyls.

No spark from coil pack

The most common reasons for them going out are not using dielectric grease properly when installing, and from washing your engine.

I believe this was a huge issue with Volkswagen vehicles
