Yes but there could be other causes. A sticky fuel injector, bad fuel pump etc. Other signs of a bad catalytic converter are a smelly sulphur exhaust, a very hot exhaust throwing heat from the middle of the car. Unless there's a lot of miles on your car, I'd be surprised if it were a bad Cat. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

Yes it could, but a partially plugged fuel filter could do the same. For a quick test of the cat, you can remove the pre-cat O2 sensor(s), leave it (them) out and drive the car briefly. It will be noisy but if the power improves, you know that you have a restriction.

Yes, depending on how bad the converter is. The converter can fall apart inside and all the pieces will then move to the muffler plugging the muffler. The result will be a plugged exhaust system. You can check to see if the exhaust is plugged by putting your hand in front of tail pipe and "feel" how much is coming out. Have someone "rev" the engine and you should be able to feel the exhaust from 2 to 3 feet away. Just so you know what normal is, do this with a different car first. If it's plugged you'll be able to tell. Good luck. Hope this helps.

Engine loses power when AC turn on. New plugs/wires/IAC. Clean TB. When I turn the AC off the engine remains in the bogged down, misfiring mode.

Check the catalytic converter, It could be clogging up. Easiest way to check is pull the of the O2 sensors before the cat. It will be louder, but if it doesn't bog down, replace the cat.

Have the catalytic converters checked. They are notorious for going bad which can cause those symptoms as well.

Whats the problem smells like rotten eggs,no power, car chugs and bogs down ?

Sounds to me like the catalytic converter is shot. The "rotten egg" smell and stalling out is a dead giveaway. The converter is plugged up and cannot let the exhaust out of the tail pipe like it should. The exhaust is building up back pressure in the exhaust system, causing the engine to lose power and stall. Take it to a qualified shop and have the catalytic converter replaced.

What causes my vehicle to bog up until around 40mph the runs fine

if it was a clogged cat i doubt it would go over 40 at all or even reach 40, needing a gas cap won't make it lose power but a bad 02 can cause some issues with the fuel mixture and that can affect performance, do you check to make sure the transmission is starting off in 1st gear?

catalytic converter will be red hot when problem is most evident.May also be bad connection at intake boots or the intake itself spray soapy water solution at all vacuum points engine will bog down/stall if leak is present.

I need a list of the EGR/Trouble codes for a 1994 Ford SHO Taurus

Sounds like the catalytic converter has gone bad. What happens is you car as you drive will lose power, smell like rotten eggs and stall out. The reason is, the cat. is plugged up and cannot let the exhaust out of the tail pipe like it should. The exhaust is staying in the engine causing it to stall out and loose pwer.
