Replaced starter, ran fine yesterday wont start today. lights are on battery is 6 months old and plenty of juice. ?
Is it a ford? If it is, check the nuts on the starter relay are tight. What condition are the battery cables? If they have repair ends at the battery those always cause problems I had a car that I had to take apart and clean them about once a month all winter.
Won't start or won't crank ?
Will it crank in neutral ?

now i could be totally wrong here but i would check wires on stop light switch first to make sure they are not loose, thenif appear ok remove the dash and look at connection on back of speedo ,if they appear ok then look at printed circuit.but it could be fault in ECU and this would require the relevant software to check it out.if its in america then a scanmaster will do it but if europeon then dealer most likely as europeon cars uses different software and some are encrypted

Sounds the starter is no good (sometimes they'll work intermittently for a while before they totally **** out). Of course it could just be a starter wiring problem (sending wire).

it sounds like you have a weak spark. take the spark plug that fires good and put it on each of the other three wires, if it still fires good then the problem is your plugs...energy not coming through them. if no change then swap the wire and plug that fire good together onto another position on the cap, if it fires good in another position then its the wires. if it still doesn't change and the cap and rotor are new, i'd look at the coil.

not sure about the 2008 model, but the earlier ones had coil pack problems. it looks like part of the rocker cover with around four torque screws holding it down and one multi plug at the end on the n/s of the engine. oh they used to blow the fuse at the same time for the engine management. 30amp dooor pillar/"A"post area.
test by removing the coil pack, fitting the spark plugs into the plug outlets. earth the body of each plug and crank the engine, you shoukld see a spark, if not then there are other tests before confirming the coil pack. let me know how you get on.

your battery may check out fine, being 5.9 liter take a big amperage to turn that starter over 12volt does not mean a thing, amperage is what count. Every auto part store they sell many types of battery and they all 12V but different amperage. Your battery may check out 12V but amperage may have gotten weak. Check all your negative ground that you have good contact to body chassis. You can also try to get a jump from other truck (friends) that has a higher or same amperage as yours to see if it turn over. using jumper cables connect positive cable straight to your positive post and the negative directly to your motor metal ground and see that will also assist the amperage to turn over that starter. This way we can truly eliminate the battery if it does not start. If that don't work than its you ground connections or positive contact. check both positive and negative cables from your battery making sure the wires is good. Inspect the ground wire to your starter making sure it has good contact. Oil and rust will make give a bad contact. If your hear the serenoid clicking when the key is turn over and you can hear the starter making a strong clicking noise to the flywheel but not able to turn your fly wheel, and we try to jump with addition battery increasing the amperage along with good starter, all the gound wires check out, chances are your motor may be lock up. The only way to check if your motor/flywheel is lock up, take all the spark plugs out that way it will reduce your compression, take a big close end box wrench and put it on the main crank pulley and try to turn the main crank pulley over by hand. Go from there and re-post and let us know, one of us will try to continue to walk you through it.
