Question about 1998 GMC Sierra

99 GMC sonoma will start with starting fluid then

99 GMC Sonoma 4.3 will start with starting fluid then runs fine but won't start on its own. I have a 99 GMC Sonoma that will turn over but won't start. I hook up to the OBM but can't get a reading at all. I was it has something to do with my aftermarket alarm or my factory alarm preventing it from starting. I have had this Clifford alarm for over a year with no problems until yesterday. Thanks

The 99 GMC, when it acts up, check whether it has fuel and/or spark. It could be related to fuel pressure, available electrical power, ignition component/s.

A couple of things. Fuel related ...try spraying starting fluid in it to see if if starts. A tune up maybe needed.
