MY 1997 FORD ESCORT OVERHEATS AT IDLE AND LOW SPEEDS AND WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONING IS TURNED ON. THE AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT EMIT COOL AIR WHEN ON.

- THE RADIATOR IS FULL OF 50/50 ANTIFREEZE MIX AND IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE LEAKING. THE ANTIFREEZE IS QUITE NEW.

i think your radiator is leaking, or you need to add water to it, or you don't have enough antifreeze. i have an idea about the air conditioning... you most likely have a coolant leak. not enough coolant in your car. or your coolant is old...

The A/C has nothing to do with the car over heating,

For the over heating issue,you need to check an or replace if needed
The thermostat,cooling fan,and temp sensor.

For the A/C issue,Check refrigerant charge and recharge as needed.
