Question about 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix

Blower quits intermediately and the driving lights go out

2001 Grand Prix. A/C-Heater blower intermediately either quits or won't come on any speed. When the blower motor will not come on the driving lights go out unless I turn the blower off. When the blower does come on the driving lights are on if the blower quits the lights go out.

You need to follow your wires from the blower motor and either rewire it or run a new wire to the blower or heater

Replace the blower resistor that is mounted next to the blower motor on the passenger side of the vehicle.
This will restore correct blower operation and I suspect it is also back-feeding voltage resulting in your electrical issues.
Two screws hold the blower resistor into the heater case and it is very easy to replace.
Good luck
