Question about 2003 Chevrolet Malibu
I don't know if it is part of the anti theft system. is there sensers to check? I checked the relay by using the on for the horn to trouble shoot! I think it may be the anti theft system but don't know how to chck. the light is not flashign so it won't reset! I am having the same problem.
Try this I got it from the emission wiz
Put your key in turn it on dont start wait 10 mins remove key wait 10 seconds repeat this a total of 3 times. If that dont work try a different key do the same thing. This relearns your key to the ignition it started with Gm cars and trucks from 1999 to to 2006. It is a big problem but there is no recall that I know of. If that dont work a dealer needs to probably replace and reprogram your ignition switch and keys

first access the ignition switch through the center part of the dash where the radio and climate control are. then locate a thin yellow wire attached to the ignition switch. start your car. then cut the wire. varify the car starts again then tape up the wire you cut put everything back together and there you go.
