Look around the bottom of cylinder block. Or near where the flywheel is to, because the crank angle sensor works from missing teeth or magnets on the flywheel or a cog/wheel fixed to the crankshaft.Hope this helps

It could be your crank angle sensor

Bypass crank sensor 92 caravan

Uh, you'd need a degree in engineering to even attempt it. Are you really willing to go to the mat for a 92 caravan? You want to take on the computer and defy its logic to determine optimum ignition advance and fuel requirements based on input from the crank position locater sensor?

My point is you won't get no spark by bypassing that sensor. Critical for the computer to get that input before it sends the signal to the ignition module to initiate spark from the coil. BTW, you never said why you would want to bypass it.

Car not starting

Fuel, spark and air. You are missing one of them you need to test for spark ,and fuel crank the engine then go to the fuel injector rail on the rail is a cap remove the cap and you will see a shrader valve just like your tire valve stem use a pointy object like a screw driver and press does fuel come out if it just dribble out well you need to test for fuel pressure. Better yet have someone crank the vehicle and you should be able to hear the fuel pump get activated you you do trouble shoot for spark. Your system uses a crank sensor it that crank sensor fails you get no spark. or even the ignition module may have failed pull one of the plug wires let it touch body ground about 1/4 inches away have some one crank it you should see spark jump out. if you dont troubleshoot for no spark condition

92 AUDI 100 2.8 CC NO SPARK NO PULSE NEW RPM SENSOR NEW CRANG SENSOR FUSES ALL GOOD NEW CAM SENSOR NEW ECU ALL GROUNTS GOOD

If you don't have any spark you may want to look at your coil packs. If your coil packs go bad it will cause you not to have spark. Another thing you may want to look into is you ignition switch. If your ignition switch goes bad it will cut the power to the rest of the vehicle because all the power must go through your ignition before it makes it to your other systems. I hope this answers your question and gives you some place to start. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

My 1994 100s Audi Sedan cranks fine but will not fire. Spark plugs replaced, fuel pump fuse checked, but does not fure. Can you help me?

There are several things to check first. Are you getting fuel? (If you spray starting fluid in the throttle body does the vehicle start) (if it does you have a fuel delivery problem) If you take a spark plug wire off and crank the motor (put wire near metal to make a ground) does it spark? For bad spark I would check distributor/cam sensor or crank sensor>? These componenets will make no spark. Let me know what happens? I can give you more info once you check these things, but off the top of my head I can't just guess whats wrong without more info.

Engine will turn over but not start i have checked crank and cam sensors replaced the fuel rail and crank sensor, has plenty of fuel to injectors checked the fuses in the fuse panel. what else could it be?

Well at its most basic level, any internal combustion engine needs 3 things to run, air, fuel and ignition. You know you have fuel, so that leaves air and ignition. Check for spark first, then check your mass airflow sensor, if thats bad, that could be your problem.

Audi 100s 1993 cranks doesn,t start, turns over no start. when it starts runs rough and stalls.

could very well be a faulty sensor, leaky vaccum hose, bad coil packs, needing of new fuel filter, spark plugs, wires.

Have you checked your fuel pressure to make sure it is good. You can do this with fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail.

Also check every cylinder for spark
If you don't have any spark, or very weak spark, you could have bad coil pack, module, or crank sensor.

You can remove one plug at a time, and place it back on plug wire, place it on top of engine block, have someone else turn motor over well you observe to see if there is spark.

Do you have a service or check engine light on? If so, I would have the engine codes read to pinpoint exact problem area.

Let me know if you have any questions or need further help
